Abstract
Purpose: The aim of the current study is to evaluate the results of vertical and horizontal guided bone regeneration (GBR) with xenograft material.

Methods: Case 1. 70-year-old male patient was referred for implant removal at #16 and #17. After implant fixture removal, guided bone regeneration was performed with deproteinized bovine bone mineral (DBBM), titanium mesh, and collagen membrane at the right maxillary posterior area. 4 months following GBR, two implants was placed at #15 and #17. Case 2. 47-year-old male patient was treated with implant removal at #15 and #46. GBR with DBBM and titanium reinforced nonresorbable membrane was performed at right mandibular posterior area 4 weeks after implant removal. GBR with DBBM, titanium mesh and collagen membrane was conducted at right maxillary posterior area 6 weeks following implant removal. 5 months after GBR, implants were placed at #46, #47, #14, #15, and #16 sites.

Results: Case 1. Bone augmentation was achieved with vertical height 6 mm, buccolingual width 8 mm, and mesiodistal length 23 mm. Case 2. Bone augmentation was achieved with vertical height 6 mm, buccolingual width 8 mm, and mesiodistal length 25 mm at right maxillary posterior area. The right mandibular posterior area was augmented with vertical height 4 mm, buccolingual width 8 mm, and mesiodistal length 20 mm.

Conclusion:Within the limit, GBR with DBBM and titanium mesh or titanium reinforced nonresorbable membrane was successfully conducted.
